Soy Wax Easy To Clean
The beauty of soy candles is that the containers can be cleaned easily in between burnings ensuring the candle continues to burn in a clean container while still creating the ambiance in the room and an alluring aroma. Soy wax can be cleaned easily with hot soap and water in between burns. I dampen a paper towel with hot water and dab a tiny bit of soap. Wipe the container inside and out above the wax. Trim the wick back to 1/4" to 1/"2 and light your candle.

Tips for a Cleaner Burning Soy Candle
I am often ask by customers why there is soot in their soy candle when they thought a soy candle is soot-free. Well, no candle burns completely soot-free. However, a soy candle will produce less soot than a paraffin candle. Here are tips to ensure you soy candle is burning cleaner and producing less soot.
1) Make sure the candle pools all the way to the edges of the container the first time the candle is burned. Otherwise, you may produce a tunnel and the candle will not melt all the wax to the edges when it burns. This means make sure the wax melts all the way to the edges of the container.
2) Understand that your candle will produce excessive soot if you burn it all day and do not trim back the wick. I recommend blowing it out after about 6 hours. Let it cool and trim the "mushroom" off the top. Then relight it. Also, when trimming back the burned wick, make sure that you do not leave it in the wax.
3) Avoid burning your candle in a drafty area. Drafty areas will make the flame flicker excessively. Therefore, the candle will develop black soot on the sides of the jar.
4) Make sure to trim back the wick to 1/4" to 1/2" each time before re-lighting. This will minimize additional soot that can be produced with the wick being too long.
5) When the the soy candle jar is cool, it can easily be wiped clean with a hot paper towel producing an additional cleaner burn. Make sure to not drip any water in the jar while cleaning. Otherwise, when the candle is lit the candle will flicker and may make some popping sounds.
